Kids for Kids raised over £1300 for children with cancer

Charity concert Kids for Kids raised over £1300 for children with cancer in Russian clinics

On 23 June, Wednesday, Gift of Life supporter, pianist Aleksei Demchenko in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo and Julia Romanenkova / Maksatics Camp presented ‘Kids for Kids’ – a concert of talented young musicians, who performed to raise awareness about childhood cancer and other life-threatening paediatric diseases in Russia and to fundraise in aid of the Gift of Life patients.

The program of the concert included classical pieces by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Schumann and many others. It’s been filmed so everyone can enjoy the play of young talents and support the great cause of saving children from cancer.

Such volunteer concerts are a great way to turn empathy into action and to support children who are being treated for serious illnesses. Our volunteer fundraising initiatives and events have already enabled hundreds of children in Russian clinics to recover from cancer.

Since 2011 the charity has managed to support over 580 applications for lifesaving medicine and nonmedical treatment, spending over £7,000,000 on its programmes. Over 480 children and young adults received Gift of Life’s support. In addition to raising vital funds, through such events and concerts, we can talk about the difficulties our patients face, and about the opportunities to help so that every child has a chance to recover.

We are endlessly thankful to Aleksei Demchenko, Julia Romanenkova / Maksatics Camp and Rossotrudnichestvo for arranging this charity concert to support Gift of Life programme work.

Together we can help children beat cancer. Support and donate now!
