Give the Gift of Life this festive season resources

If you are lost on what to give family and friends this Festive Season, look no further. An amazingly simple gift, which will shine the brightest and have a lasting impact for years and years to come.

Donate the cost of a card or present for your loved ones and instead send them a heartfelt digital card, explaining you have given a gift of life this year.

How it works:

  • Donate to this appeal via the link
  • Receive a link with a .PDF card to your email
  • Share it with your nearest and dearest in place of a physical present
  • Or post it on social media, telling your followers about the important work of Gift of Life and how you helped save lives.

By abandoning meaningless gifts and last-minute panic-buys, you can make a huge difference to children fighting severe oncological and haematological illnesses in Russia and give the most precious gift of all – the gift of life.

Your donation helps us save lives

Since 2011 Gift of Life managed to help over 460 children and young adults with cancer and other blood diseases. With your generous contribution, the charity will provide more patients with vital medical care and give children like Kira a better chance to beat cancer.

Kira Spis, 10 years old

In 2020, ten-year-old Kira Spis received treatment with Foscavir twice. Kira was born with a serious violation of the immune system. She had to undergo two bone marrow transplants, and by autumn she felt well enough to go home. For the first time in her ten years of life, Kira has the chance for a full recovery!

Foscavir is a ‘life-saving’ medication unavailable in Russia and one of the regular expenses covered by Gift of Life as part of our Foreign Medications programme. In addition to Foscavir, Defitelio, Sidofovir and Probenecid are ‘emergencies’ as these medications are often urgently needed to deal with dangerous complications after bone marrow transplantation. All donations gathered on the Gift of Life’s Festive Season appeal will be used to purchase such medications.
