On 13 March 2019, the sold-out charity event with celebrity chef and food and travel blogger Nika Belotserkovskaya at ZIMA Russian Restaurant in London raised £7300 for treatment of children with oncological and blood diseases in Russia.
In conversation with the guests Nika shared her experience and advice on food and travel blogging, culinary experiments, photography and, of course, Instagram. We cannot imagine a gathering with Nika at ZIMA without a proper Russian feast. Nika collaborated with ZIMA chef Timur Lyasnikov and the two offered the guests tasty Russian zakuski (starters) followed by exceptionally cooked sturgeon and lamb for main, and for dessert, everyone enjoyed the best-loved Russian cakes – Bird’s Milk and Prague.

All money raised at the evening will go towards paying for a vital surgery for little Dasha Rizhakova from Saratov. Now the girl is being treated for a large spinal tumour, a subtype of neuroblastoma called a ganglioneuroblastoma, at the Dmitry Rogachev Centre for Paediatric Haematology in Moscow.
Thanks to the support of Nika, ZIMA, the wonderful guests of the evening and everyone who donated to Dasha’s appeal, the Centre has invited Prof. Ulrich Thomale from the Charité clinic in Berlin to perform the surgery. The operation is scheduled for the nearest weeks.
