On the 12th of January 2016, Chulpan Khamatova’s and Gidon Kremer’s charity performance, “Wings of Everyday Life” , will take place at the Actors Church at the heart of London, supporting children in the care of the Podari Zhizn and Gift of Life foundations.

“Wings of Everyday Life” is a musical and poetic performance that unites the poetry of Marina Tsvetaeva and Aspazija. Chulpan Khamatova, creator of this inspirational merging, is not only a marvellous poetry reader, but also a true literary expert who has identified a plethora of echoing rhymes, meanings and references between these two poets’ works. The musical part of the performance is no less complex than the poetic. Gidon Kremer and the Kremerati musicians bring together the Russian classicist Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the contemporary Ukranian composer Valentin Silverstrov, the “king of tango” Oskars Stroks and the Latvian composer Georg Peletsis.

We would like to thank Vadim Levin for his assistance and financial support. All funds raised from ticket sales will go to the Gift of Life foundation to purchase the expensive foreign medicines needed by children with oncohaematological illnesses in Russian hospitals.
