Primum Agmen Group Gala

Primium Agmen Group has celebrated its birthday with a charity evening in aid of children under care of Gift of Life and Podari Zhizn foundation.

Primum Agmen Group is a leading consulting company in the sphere of British education, and a property expert, as well as an organiser of many culture and art projects. On 26th September 2015, it celebrated its birthday within the historic chambers of London’s Savoy Hotel.

The gala’s guests included the company’s partners, clients and friends, and leading representatives of the political and business elites of Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Britain, Greece, Italy and other countries. David Alexander, director of the global organisation One Young World, was in attendance, as were Dina Korzun, co-founder of the Podari Zhizn foundation, Gevork Sarkisyan, general director of Innova and director of Kidzania Moscow, Mikhail Abramov, founder of the Museum of the Russian Icon, Pavel Teplukhin, businessman and co-founder of Troika Dialog, Nicolas Aznavour, son of the internationally famous singer Charles Aznavour, Oleg Gazmanov, singer and composer, and the singer Olga Orlova.

As an acclaimed expert in British education, Primum Agmen has strong links with leading British universities. The evening saw congratulatory speeches from deans and rectors of prominent universities, including Ray Hilditch, as well as David Fletcher, expert and chairman of the Stowe School admissions committee.

The evening was hosted by Yuliya Baranovskaya and Yuri Blinov.

The main event of the evening was a charity auction in aid of Gift of Life, conducted by the leading auctioneer Alex Branczik, head of the modern art department of the world-famous Sotheby’s auction house.

The lots up for auction included tickets for Chulpan Khamatova’s play, with subsequent dinner with the actress, and tickets to Charles Aznavour’s concert and an opportunity to meet the maestro after his concert and receive an autographed complete discography. A similar lot was presented by the Russian singer and composer Oleg Gazmanov, with his painting “Man’s Spirit” included alongside tickets and CDs. Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea Football Club, offered a unique lot that included exclusive tickets for any Premier League match, a football shirt signed by the team, and a unique tour of the club’s stadium and museum. Shamil Tarpischev, president of the Russian Tennis Federation, presented another sports-related lot, the tennis racket with which Marat Safin won Grand Slam tournaments and earned the status of world number one male tennis player, as well as VIP tickets to the Kremlin Cup finals. Every lot was unique and memorable, from an haute couture dress to the opportunity to attend the grand opening of Robert de Niro’s Moscow restaurant and meet the celebrity himself, to another gourmand lot from Natalia Marzoeva, founder of the international Gastronomic Seasons festival.

The most expensive lot was a 19th century icon presented by Mikhail Abramov, owner of the Museum of the Russian Icon. It sold for £20,000 (2,000,000 roubles).

In total, the auction combined with individual donations gathered £100,000 or 10,000,000 roubles!

“The Primum Agmen Group charity evening is an example of genuine corporate responsibility,” said our foundation’s co-founders, Chulpan Khamatova and Dina Korzun. “It’s an example of successful, intelligent, attractive people choosing not to stand by, but to extend a firm helping hand to those who truly need it. We would like to express our gratitude to the evening’s organisers and guests. Thanks to the funds gathered during the evening, a colossal 10,000,000 roubles, the fund will be able to pay for Erwinase, a medicine not registered in Russia, for children diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.”

After the auction, the guests enjoyed a performance by the renowned English pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. And as it was a birthday celebration, there were presents as well – even for the foundation! Gevork Sarkisyan, director of Kidzania Moscow, gave the foundation 1,000 tickets to Kidzania, a unique children’s entertainment centre opening in Moscow in January 2016. Meanwhile, One Young World director David Alexander established a special stipend for one of Podari Zhizn’s talented charges.

This was truly an evening of goodwill and excitement. We deeply thank all organisers, all guests, everyone who offered lots and everyone who competed for them, and all artists and celebrities!
