We know very little about two-year old Dasha Gromova – just that she was receiving treatment at a hospital in Novokuzhetsk for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. At a certain point, she needed four packs of Erwinase, which we bought and sent to Novokuznetsk in March this year.
But to our deepest sorrow, her illness was a severe one and it was beyond the doctors’ power to save her. Dasha left us on the 15th of June 2012. In the end, she did not need the Erwinase, and the medicine will be passed on to another child in accordance with doctors’ instructions.
Thank you to all who helped us. May Dasha live on in the memories of those who loved her.
